When you purchase any Alnwick Rum products, whether for yourself, a friend, family member or client, we want both you and them to be delighted with your gift.
When you purchase from us you give us personal details such as your address and contact details. We respect your privacy and will not pass these details on to anyone else without your prior consent. We would like to be able to send you information occasionally on our products, but if you'd rather we didn't we will always respect your wishes, please just let us know.
Please note that when you purchase products with us via our website you are entering into a legally binding contract. We reserve the right to refuse any order without giving reason or to request further information to allow your order to be processed. You will receive an automatic email on placing an order - this is only an acknowledgement that your order has been received.
Alnwick Rum operates under UK law.
We aim to dispatch your order within 24 hours Monday to Friday, on Monday if it reaches us on a weekend, or the day following a national holiday.
If you specify a date for delivery we will do our best to make sure your goods arrives on that date. You can specify a delivery date of Monday to Friday or Saturday (for an additional charge of £10). We can also arrange for delivery on a bank holiday if necessary for an additional £10. Unfortunately we cannot deliver on a Sunday. Should events outside our control prevent delivery we will contact you as soon as possible. If we are unable to fulfill your order for any reason a full refund will be given. We cannot be held responsible for any losses you may incur due to late or non delivery.
In most cases we will use couriers to deliver your products. They will deliver next day to most areas of the UK. Same day delivery is available but there will be an additional charge for this. Please give us a call for details.
A signature will be required on delivery so please make sure that there will be someone in at the delivery address you specify. If delivery cannot be made the courier will attempt to deliver the next day and will leave a card asking the recipient to call their depot to arrange a more convenient time. If the recipient does not contact the courier the products will be returned to us and we will have to make an additional charge for redelivery. Please include a contact telephone number for the delivery address so that the courier can contact the recipient if necessary.
Please note that we cannot accept responsibility for deliveries which are refused by the recipient or where our courier cannot deliver because of an incorrect address. Please check that your specified delivery address is correct and include a postcode.
Delivery charges are not included in the product price, but are charged at the price of £10.00 per order. An additional charge will apply for shipments to offshore UK addresses or Northern Ireland.
Payment for all orders must be made in full before your product is dispatched. Alnwick Rum Company Ltd reserves the right to refuse any order prior to the payment transaction being completed. Payment may be made by debit or credit card either on-line, by fax or telephone. We accept Visa, Access, Switch, Amex, MasterCard and Business Purchasing Cards.
Our products contain alcoholic beverages, and therefore orders cannot be accepted by persons under the age of 18. By placing an order with us you make representations that you are over 18. If you are underage and place an order you are in breach of contract and may also be in breach of the law. The holder of the debit or credit card will be fully liable in such a case.
You may cancel your order within 7 days without giving a reason. In this case you will be responsible for all charges incurred in returning goods. All other monies paid will be refunded within 30 days. The 7 day cancellation period will commence on the day following the day you receive your order. Goods must be returned in the same condition as delivered.
We will replace or refund any faulty goods or good damaged in transit provided that you notify us within 10 days of receipt and that, if reasonably practicable, you return the goods, with the packing slip to us by recorded delivery. Your statutory rights remain unaffected by this condition.
